Increase your download speed in windows 7

You need to be the administrator to execute the commands that i've mentioned below
Step1: Run CMD as administrator.
Step2: Type netsh interface tcp show global

      The output would be like this:

TCP Global Parameters
----------------------------------------------
Receive-Side Scaling State          : enabled
Chimney Offload State               : automatic
NetDMA State                        : enabled
Direct Cache Acess (DCA)            : disabled
Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level    : normal      <<--||
Add-On Congestion Control Provider  : none
ECN Capability                      : disabled
RFC 1323 Timestamps                 : disabled
** The above autotuninglevel setting is the result of Windows Scaling heuristics overriding any local/policy configuration on at least one profile.

As you can see the Auto tuning level is set to normal.

Step3: In-order to disable the auto-tuning, set the status to Disable.

Type netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disable

Step4: make sure that the auto tuning is disabled by repeating the Step2.
The output after disabling will be like this:
Querying active state...
TCP Global Parameters
----------------------------------------------
Receive-Side Scaling State          : enabled
Chimney Offload State               : automatic
NetDMA State                        : enabled
Direct Cache Acess (DCA)            : disabled
Receive Window Auto-Tuning Level    : disabled     <<---||
Add-On Congestion Control Provider  : none
ECN Capability                      : disabled
RFC 1323 Timestamps                 : disabled
** The above autotuninglevel setting is the result of Windows Scaling heuristics
overriding any local/policy configuration on at least one profile.

Note:
  • The browsing speed will be low when you are downloading some big files, As you've disabled the autotuning.
  • Don't do this if you are satisified with your download speed.
  • In order to get back to orginal speed if your are not satisified, Apply this reversal tweek, in the Step3
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=normal
          This will set the auto-tuning level to Normal again.
